It heats up about 3 degrees per hour and it can get down into the 60's during the winter so if you want it heated upon your arrival please keep that in mind and notify us. For long term stays $1,000 of gas and electricity is included. For short term stays October Through the end of May the charge is $100/day if pool heating is paid upfront for every day of the stay or $125/day if not. Most resorts heat pools into the low 80's we allow guests that pay for pool heat to heat pool to the mid-80's. Please keep in mind, mid-winter, larger pools will have a hard time even reaching mid-80's, pool temperature is not guaranteed, however, generally low to mid 80s is common, even mid-winter.We work with the top 3 pool cleaners in the desert, despite that, the desert can have high winds that can turn a perfectly clean pool into a dirty pool in 10 minutes or less. Please report and we will send a pool cleaner as soon as possible. We also try to keep pool skimmers on site at all of our homes. There is the possibility of boatman bugs in the desert, they are completely harmless but can fall from the sky, generally there's a chance for them in August and September, while they can be killed and removed when they are falling from the sky, they will return minutes after treating. There can be sand storms in the desert. While we can promise a pool cleaner will clean the pool 2-3 times per week, we cannot control acts of god, nor are they grounds for cancellation. During the summer starting late June going until early October the average pool temperature can be 90 degrees+ and can even reach up to 100. Most homes do not have pool chillers. It may not be comfortable to swim, particularly during the day during these months, this is not grounds for cancellation.
